Get to know Angela Hill

Angela is our spectacular Catering Director at University of Health Science and Pharmacy (formerly St. Louis College of Pharmacy) in St. Louis, Missouri. Angela has been a member of the Pedestal Foods family since 2016, and we are blessed to have her generous spirit and capable hands on our team.

Hi, Angela! 

What is your role on the Pedestal Foods team at University Health Science and Pharmacy? 

I oversee and plan for Campus Catering, as well as assist with the retail dining services, administrative tasks and reporting.

What do you love about your job?

I love my job, plain and simple! The most rewarding part of my role is the comradery of the staff, students and personnel. There is not one single day that I don’t get a kind word and a positive vibe from someone I encounter on campus, which in return encourages me to operate at my best.

What’s the most challenging part of your job? 

The most challenging aspect of my role is last minute adjustment. 

What would people be surprised to learn about you? 

People would be surprised to know that I am actually a quiet person.

What does “Be a Blessing” mean to you, personally and/ or professionally?

Being a Blessing means that the aura that you personify allows others to feel confident in knowing that they are genuinely appreciated, whether it’s via conversation, hugs or positive gestures, financial actions or emotional support.

What’s the most important thing you’ve learned in this position?

The most important attribute that I’ve learned in this position is patience and willingness to accept and manage change.

What’s the most important piece of advice you’ve ever received?

Honor God, love yourself, honor your family and treat others with kindness and respect and your life will be Blessed!!!

If you could be a teacher of something, what would it be?

I would love to teach cooking.

What five words would your colleagues use to describe you? 

Fair, Resilient, Patient, Kind, Honest

What’s a new skill you would like to learn, or an interest you’d like to develop further? How do you want to grow?

I would love to learn Horticulture. I would like to grow with the ability to continue to learn new concepts and use those concepts to develop myself into a more well rounded individual.

What is something you can do better than anyone else you know?

Cook Sweet Potato Pie 🙂
