Pedestal Foods is excited to announce a new foodservice partnership with Pope John Paul II High School. Pedestal Foods will provide nutritious lunch options for students at the Hendersonville school with made-to-order food daily and action stations with international influences such as Asian and Mexican.
Partnering with Pedestal Foods is allowing Pope John Paul II High School to restructure their lunch period as well as menu offerings to foster freedom and independence for the students. Instead of two separate lunch periods, the school will transition to a one-hour block meal period that will give students a free hour to eat, study and meet with teachers.
"We love helping schools set up dining schedules that suit their student and faculty needs," said Joe Scherer, director of operations at Pedestal Foods. "We're always looking for new ways to get the students excited by switching up their typical lunch options and we're thrilled to welcome Pope John Paul II High School to the Pedestal Foods family."
Pedestal Foods is also bringing new outdoor tables to the school to provide additional seating and a fun atmosphere for students. In addition, students will also have the option to choose from a new concession area that will have pizza, snacks, and smoothies for students to grab on the go.
"As we were looking for a new partner to overhaul our dining program, we knew we needed a well-run, experienced organization with a passion for service and operational knowledge for execution," said Mike Deely, Headmaster of Pope John Paul II High School. "Pedestal Foods was the clear choice."
The new dining arrangements will be in Pope John Paul II High School this August.
